The Swifty Awards
The 1st Annual Swifty Awards are being presented to reflect the tremendous growth of the Internet across Swift Communications, Inc in the past 12 months. The Swifty Awards is the leading community media award honoring excellence on the Internet. The Swiftys recognize outstanding use of online applications for new media coverage and/or online revenue generation. Online applications include Internet Ventures Group supported tools including blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Cover It Live, etc.
The Swiftys are presented by The Academy of Internet Ventures. The Academy is an intellectually diverse organization that includes members such as writers and editors from publications such as The Union, Summit Daily News, and Nevada Appeal, Internet consultants, and Swift Communications executives, President/COO and Chairman of the Board.
Who Can Enter?
The Swifty Awards are open to all Swift Communications, Inc. employees who have successfully leveraged online applications to cover news stories or generate online revenues. Submit a description of the media event AND a photo of the team who made it happen.
Who can vote?
The Swifty Awards presents two honors -- The Swifty Award and The Great People's Choice Award. Members of The Academy of Internet Ventures select the winners of the Swifty Awards. However, you, the online Great People community of Swift, determine the winner of The Great People's Choice by voting for the nominated work that you believe to be the best entry.
When are the Winners Announced?
The Swifty Awards will be presented annually at the Publisher’s Meeting, in June. The winners will also be posted in the News & Awards section on www.swiftcom.com.
