The Sierra Nevada Ballet performs live at the Carson City Community Center on Saturday Dec. 5 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and at Piper's Opera House in Virginia City on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2:30 p.m. Enter to win one pair of tickets to the show of your choice! Contest ends Dec. 1. Winners will be notified by phone and/or e-mail.

What is this family holiday event all about?
The Sierra Nevada Ballet will present the popular PEANUTCRACKER – The Story in Nut Shell which is a mini-ballet based on the Peter Tchaikovsky’s original ballet The Nutcracker. PEANUTCRACKER is a shorter, 45-minute narrated version that is designed for families with younger children to introduce them to the wonderful world of ballet. This year’s performances will feature the Ballet's professional dancers, apprentices, and trainees, in addition to dance students from schools in the local community.
Contest runs from Nov. 9, 2009 - Dec. 1, 2009.
